End of Kindergarten for Tucker...

This school year absolutely flew by and I am so glad that it was such a great experience for Tucker. He had a great time, loved his teacher and made some great little friends! I'm really sad he won't be returning to McDonald Elementary next year with his friends, but I am sure he will love Sunrise, and I am excited for him to be there, I've heard it's a great school, and he has friends there, too. And he will be there for the rest of his grades, so I'm sure he will love it.
This was my first time experiencing the 'end of school year' activities. I guess I had never realized how much they try to cram in there at the end of school. We had school carnivals, fun runs, singing concerts, and a variety show! I don't know how people do it with more than one child! :) I've already posted about the carnival and the fun run, so here we have the kindergarten singing program and the variety show.

It was a cute little program. They sang 5 songs and we were out of there in a half an hour! :) Woo-Hoo, my kind of show!

Then there was the Variety show. Oh, the Variety Show! :) At the end of May we got a letter home from school about the Variety show. All kids were invited to try out for a school variety show. I was just going to throw the flier away, but thought I would ask Tuck if he wanted to do it. And he said yes, and got really excited about it! :) I told him he should ask Irelynd if she wanted to do something with him, since he wasn't sure what he wanted to do. At first he wanted to sing 'Firework' by Katy Perry, one of our fave's. Irelynd wanted to sing 'Party in the USA' by Miley Cyrus. Party in the USA won. The show was on the 2nd to last day of school, and they practiced and practiced those last two weeks like crazy. They had try outs, which I went to, and they were so cute, they were nervous, but actually most of the older kids during try outs were nervous and didn't perform well. I thought for sure they would do better during the actual performance if they got in. We were very excited to learn that they did indeed make it into the show. (I think they needed some variety and they were one of only two Kindergarten acts to try out!) :) They were so cute, though!
I was just so impressed that they got up there in front of the whole school and sang the song, and had the guts to do it! :) They were the very first act of the show, and they were so cute, sitting there patiently for the show to start.

Well, they got on the stage, and literally stood like this the whole time:

You could barely hear them because they were singing so quietly, but it was SO SO SO adorable, and I was SO SO SO proud of my little brave kindergartner! :) Me and Irelynd's mom, Autumn did practice with them some moves to go along with the song, but this is pretty much how the stood the whole time! :) And we got to learn a Miley Cyrus song out of it, so it wasn't a total loss! :) HA HA

Tucker had quite the fan club. It was the day that I went to be induced to have the baby, (But that is a whole different story, which I will get into in a different post!) :) so my mom, my mother-in-law and my brother Allen, and his family were all in town for it, so they all showed up, and with Papa and us, that was a lot of people for our little Tucker man, and he was so happy and totally felt the love. This is Autumn in the front of this picture, who, of course, my mom became best friends with. If you know my mom, you know she loves making friends with strangers! :)

Keyton was so cute in his new blue fedora hat! :) What a stylin' guy!

Two days later, as I was in the hospital, Tucker had his last day of school! I was kind of sad not to be the one who picked him up that day, and be there with him, but I made Ben snap a picture of him and Mrs. Gosney! He loved Mrs. Gosney!

Luckily I had gotten the teacher gifts together beforehand, so they were prepared. I got an idea off of Pintrest, of rolling up a beach towel, a magazine and a tube of sunscreen with a note for the teacher to have a nice and relaxing summer. Totally cheap and easy! :)

He is so ready for First grade next year, and I am ready for all day school. (oh wait, did I say that out loud?) :) Just kidding. I love my little man and am so proud of his fun personality and his smart little mind. He makes us so proud!
Good-Bye Kindergarten, Hello First Grade! Woo-Hoo!!!

June 10th, 2013

Welp, today is the day! June 10th. The baby was supposed to be here today! But SURPRISE SURPRISE, no baby yet. I'm pretty sure that my body doesn't know how to go into labor on it's own. So, what does a 40 week pregnant lady look like you ask? Let me show you:

Pretty darn BIG!
I've gotten a lot of comments over the past few weeks of, 'WOW, you're huge, are you sure you'r not having twins?' to 'Oh you must have big babies!!!' to 'how can you even walk with that belly?' Those are always nice for a pregnant lady to hear. :) I remember when I was pregnant with Tucker I loved every minute of it. My 27 year old body was healthy and trim, and now this 34 year old body is ready to be DONE! :) It's not as fun the older you get! :) But I am happy to have a healthy baby boy in there, and can't wait to meet the little dude.
And here is my 37 week belly just for memories sake:
(not much different!)

I did go into the Dr. today and I am still dilated to a 2, but the baby was sitting oblong in my belly which means he could be trying to rotate back up, so Dr. Brown asked me how I felt about induction, and I told him I felt great about induction, so TOMORROW is the big day! :) I can't wait. I go in the morning, start pitocin, break the water, get the epidural, and hopefully have the baby shortly after. It's a process that I've become quite familiar with. I've done it twice now the exact same way. I don't know why I expected anything different with this baby, but for the last few weeks, every day I get myself psyched that TODAY IS THE DAY! :) But no...
It's great timing, too. My mom just got into town, and will be here, my dad is in town, my mother in law is actually coming tomorrow,  I am so lucky to have tons of help and support. Hopefully in the next few days I will get some photos of the still nameless little man up here! I'm excited and ready for him to be a part of our family!
