On being pregnant...

A productive day for a pregnant lady:

  • Take son to Greenbluff for a little tour to pick pumpkins and apples and go on a hay ride. check
  • Lunch with good friends to celebrate a birthday. check
  • Dinner made and given to brother and sister in law who just had a baby. check
  • House clean. check
  • Birthday present purchased for son's upcoming birthday. check
  • Vomit in the parking lot at the bank. Check!
Oh the joys of being pregnant! :) I just have to remind myself that I DID want this! :)

This pregnancy has been so different than with Tucker. With Tucker I had NO symptoms the entire time. I did get a little heart burn the last few months. But nothing major. I got the heart burn with this one months ago. And I am just wiped out ALL the time! I remember after I had Tucker I told Ben that I missed being pregnant, I felt so good! I think after this one I am definitely going to re think that statement! :) It hasn't been horrible, but I could sleep 24/7. Food really affects me, I really have to watch what I eat or I just feel gross (although this is the first time I've thrown up) and I've been getting head aches a lot with this one. Is that normal??? If this little girl is giving me this much grief even before she enters the world, I'm not sure that I'm ready for this... :)

haha ;) Oh man, the last time I threw up when pregnant with Claira was 26 weeks! ugh! At least you feel better after you've thrown up :) Hopefully that was the first and last time. Good luck!!

Pregnancy--hmmm. My pregnancy with Will was like yours with Tucker: easy, breezy. And, since I had Will two weeks early, I really felt ready to be done being pregnant. But Will was a really hard newborn, so I don't think how sick you are/aren't during pregnancy is any indication of the child. I think that nice, easy-going people have easy babies. And intense, far too structured people like me have hard babies. Ah, such is the fate. I hope you're feeling better. Maybe give yourself a mental health day: pawn Tucker off on someone and lie in bed all day watching soaps and eating bon-bons. You know you deserve it. If I were there, I would SO watch Tucker!

Taraka, you accomplish more in one day than I do most weeks.

I am sorry for the icky pregnancy. I was horribly sick with both my girls. Those dang girls! What are we going to do with them?

It was fun to see you at greenbluff! I was super sick with both kids but got super bad headaches with Ella. I just drank 1-2 diet cokes a day and the headaches felt better. You are on top of bday stuff, I only have 1 thing for Ella so far.

huh. you're not even stuck in the first couple months when the sickness usually hits. maybe it's just a bit of illness and not her. i'm beginning to think that our two girls are going to be even more work than our boys. :) yikes!

Thanks for the laugh...barfing in the parking lot! I remember Krista had to barf in her purse when she was in the store! Oh the things we go through to just bring children into this world. I was gosh awful sick with my girl pregnancies and they sure are high maintenance later on! But they are such cute little princess! I think you'll love it.

Dido to the other statements my girls were harder than my boy! I have vomited with all of my pregnancies though...I think hormones are the key with the girls! Too many! I love just laying around when I am pregnant because with each kid that gets harder and harder! I hope that things get better for you! There are nausea medications I have had friends use to make it through a day!

When I was pregnant with Bradley, I was still working at the bank, I threw up in front of the HUGE line of cars waiting for the drive thru. Then I had to go inside and help all the customers and then explain, "no, I wasn't hung over"

Hope you are feeling better soon. I was way sicker with Alison than with Bradley.

Taraka you have to remember that you are more tired this time because you are running around after TUCKER!!!... AND Ben!!! :)
Sickness is usually a good sign during pregnancy though.. sad to say, but true!! I hope you do start feeling better!!!

Since I've only been pregnant with girls I can't tell you which is easier. I can tell you I was sick with both but in different ways. With Olivia I was sick at night but I think I threw up more with her. With this one I was sick from the time I woke up until I went to bed. This was harder. It also started at 7 weeks and lasted until 16. Olivia started at 8 and was done by 14. I hear you are sicker with girls but I have a sister and a sister-in-law that have all boys and were both way sicker with them than I ever was with my girls. The good news is is that it does go away at some point and boy is that a great day! Oh and I get headaches too. Not all the time but when I get them they last awhile unless I take tylenol. I agree with Jessy, take a day off if you get the chance.

I had headaches when I was pregnant too.(Migraines) They give them to you before they even get here! But it's worth it!

Wow....I wish I could do what you do in one day in a month!

Sounds like pregnancy suits you...Most days it is all I can do to get out of bed. If I get a shower, that is my big feate for the day.

I don't buy that the sex of the baby is what makes the dif in pregnancy, I just think every single pregnancy is different. I am having 2 girls, and both pregnancies were both so different.

You are incredible! I wish I could be more like you and have the zeal to do all the things you do while you are so sick!
