Guess who took a dance class this summer!!! :)
Oh man, I love this girl!
She loves dancing and singing, but isn't very girly girl. So, instead of going all in with dance class, I wanted to first try it to see if she liked it! :) A friend of mine teaches dance and has a studio, so we did a two week camp when we got home from Alabama. She was so so so funny! She loved it, of course! We did decide, however not to put her in the class in the fall. Whenever I asked her about it she seemed so indifferent, like she wasn't dying to take dance again, for some reason. Like she just didn't care yet. I know if we would have put her in, she would have loved it, but rather than add other reason to have to pack up Jackson out of the house, we decided to just hold off until she really is wanting to start up again. But she did have fun this summer! And she looked so dang cute in her dance outfits!
I was worried that she wouldn't really follow directions, or stay on task and do her own thing, but she was actually a great little dancer and really caught on! And she's got some buff legs, so maybe being a dancer is in her future! :)
At the end of the two weeks, they put on a recital in the park for the parents. It was so cute!

This was her favorite move and she would do it all day! :)
So proud of herself after her performance! She definitely had no problem being up there on stage in front of people. And even though she started out in the back row, somehow ended up front and center! :)
I think her favorite part was the popsicle that miss Michelle gave her after the performance! :) And here she is with her friend, Abbey! :) Cuties!
