Since we were flying out to Alabama on Christmas day, we had Christmas with Papa and Kathryn on Christmas eve. It was another wonderful, low-key, full of love Christmas celebration, and once again, my kids reveled in the fact that they had Papa and Kathryn to themselves for another Christmas celebration. Kathryn, of course, had her house totally cute and decked out for the holiday's and it was perfect. My dad and her had cooked us a delicious meal, and she had made these cutest stocking shaped brownies with a delicoius peppermint ice cream. It was a perfect night!
Since they were kind of in the middle of figuring out what they were going to do with their lives and homes, a lot of her Christmas stuff was packed, including her tree and ornaments. So, they had went out and bought this little Evergreen tree to eventually plant wherever they lived. She decorated it with just simple white lights and it had this cute little burlap sack over the base, and it was so cute!

This big cutie walking around everywhere:
Papa and Kathryn first gave us some gifts from Mexico:
Once again the kids were spoiled with gifts and love and we had a wonderful evening. I was surprised that I actually enjoyed Christmas so much this year without all of my siblings in town. But shhh...don't tell them that! It was just a nice change of pace from what it usually is with chaos and craziness around every corner! :)
Another evening full of faces like this:
We even got one from Papa, so that was definitely a highlight! :) ha ha
And Kathryn:
Of course, lots of play time after with their new toys:
YUM! My kind of dessert!
And I think Papa has a new favorite! These two are as thick as thieves. I love it!
Thanks Papa and Kathryn for being so good to us! We love that we get to be so close to grandparents and you guys are the BEST!
