While you were gone...

Ben has been in Hawaii for the past week! I know, can you believe it? The nerve of him.:) He is actually 'working' over there. Him and some of his buddies/co-workers went over there for a week to landscape a house to sell. yada yada yada. He's in Hawaii, and I am not!!!:) At first I told him he could NOT go to Hawaii without me. But then as the plans were made, and I realized they were ACTUALLY going to be working a lot, and no other wives were going, I decided that he should go and have a great time with his buddies.
He has been gone since last Sunday and I miss him A LOT! I am a pretty independent person, and like to keep myself busy; and I can usually handle Tucker on my own pretty well. (It does help that Tucker is relatively easy) So I though that this week would be OK, and it has; But I just miss him!!! I feel like our world has been a little tilted all week and I am SO looking forward to him coming home tomorrow. My evenings were lonely without him and I just didn't laugh as much as I usually do with him around. I miss having someone to entertain and take Tucker for a few hours every evening. Tucker misses his favorite playmate, and he hasn't been sleeping very well all week. I don't know if it has to do with Ben being gone, we'll see. So Ben was supposed to be home tonight at midnight, but they missed their flight. Wanna know why? Lunch at Costco was too enticing!!! :) Apparently there is a Costco near the airport on Kona island and they stopped for lunch before their flight. They were having such a great time and got so involved in conversation, they totally missed their flight today and are now leaving tomorrow and will be home tomorrow night. I think they did it on purpose to have an extra day there! :)
Anyway...
My lovely friends and wonderful family have all been so good to me this week and have been keeping me busy and helping me keep my mind off of the fact that I'm husband less AND the fact that he's in Hawaii. :) So, while Ben's been here:
This is what we've been up to all week.
Ben, this one's for you!
Saturday night, we went to play games and eat dinner with these suckers:
Look who ended up as the Great Dahlmudi: (you would've been so proud!) :)
There were others there too, just look at all of these kids!!!
{Here are some pictures of you as the Greater Peon from a few weeks ago! Makes me miss you even more!} :)

Sunday we headed to Milton-Freewater to visit Aunt Kathy, Uncle Scott, Grandma & Grandpa.
This is the building where my dad went to K, 1st and 2nd grades!
Posing outside of Kathy & Scott's house.
Aunt Kathy & Tucker MADE play-dough together. He loved his Aunt Kathy and she was so good to him! She took us to the Children's Museum in Walla Walla one day, too!
He loved all of their dogs and made sure that they were well fed!
He also got some good bonding time in with Grandma Glenda.

And with Grandpa Elmer. Grandpa sure cheered up when he saw Tucker walk through the doors!
Saying goodbye is never easy with this one. We hope we'll get to see him again soon!
Tuesday night we got to hang out with these beautiful girls:
I can't believe that Melissa is already 18 years old!!! *sniff, sniff*
I had to post this one of Katie, posing! :)
Of course, Tucker had to help her blow out her candles.
Eating frosting from anywhere he can get it!
Melissa told him to take a bite of the cake with his mouth and then shoved his face in it. It was hilarious. At first he didn't know what to do, he stood back up a little startled...
But pretty quickly realized that everyone was laughing, so THEN thought it was pretty funny!!! :)
Wednesday: McD's play date with friends and a movie (The Tales of Desperaux) at the Garland with the Enloe's. Tucker wasn't so much into the movie as he was running around the foyer. Luckily it was only a dollar and the popcorn is fabulous!!! :)
Thursday: Dinner with Lexie, Christy and Cherie who all happened to be husband less that night! Mortensen's house + Pizza = Perfection to Tucker.
Friday: Unfortunately Friday I had to attend the funeral of Emily's father. It was a great service and a great celebration of his life. That night I went out to eat with my parents and got a little break from the Tuck man while Angie and Nathan watched him! (I know, I'm a party animal!) It was wonderful though, thanks guys!!!
Saturday: We got to hang out with these amazingly strong people. Jan invited us up for her delicious Italian cooking while Dave & Emily were in town. Great food and even better company!!! :) You really missed out.
Sunday so far; church and Lasagna (you know what kind) at my dad's house.
So our week without you hasn't been horrible, but we are SUPER excited to have you home tomorrow--we miss you A LOT!!! Please don't miss your flight this time! :)
WE LOVE YOU!!!

You had a busy week! Makes me feel like I should get out more. Are all your weeks like this? And why does it seem like everyone is going to Hawaii except me? Good thing the movie was only a dollar. I would have been very upset if I were you if the movie was full price. Have another fun week!

Well, Terry..it's no surprise that you found a way to party hard-y whilst your hubby was off making the big bucks in Hawaii. Maybe next time you should just come on out here when Ben's out of town. That would be grand. Oh and I thought of you today while I was at Walmart. Will has outgrown his Walmart sneakers and so I just decided to buy him the next size up of the exact same pair...just like Tucker. Too funny, no? Anyway, give that Tucker a squeeze for me. Hopefully, next week is full of lots of NAPS to rest after this week. P.S. Will's Happy B-day sign was hand crafted by me--I didn't buy it (I have to toot my own horn b/c I am pretty proud of my rare moments of craftiness).

How fun to keep busy while Ben was gone. There is just something about not having a hubby around though. I can't believe you have relatives in Milton-Freewater too! Cute pictures.
