Tucker plays baseball...

This big guy started baseball. I tell you what, I'm not sure I can handle the pressure of my children in sports. I had no idea that kids sports were so political and competitive. What happened to just enjoying being a 3 sport kid? There are already formed teams and elite teams in the SECOND grade!!! Tucker really wanted to get on a team with his friend, Carson, but Carson's team was already full so he was put in a random team, which we ended up really liking, so it worked out, and on one hand, I'd love for him to stay on that team, the families were all so great, but on the other hand, if he's going to continue in baseball, I'd like to get him on the best CV team, so that he can play together with the boys he'll be with growing up, and so I'd love to get him on that other team, so it's just hard. But... the point is he had fun. Also, my friend Shar told me one time to not put my kids in t ball, that it's excruciating, so I didn't, and that was another reason that there were already formed teams, because a lot of the boys have been together since t ball. But I am glad I didn't have to sit through t ball, and I know it will all work out, but it's just stressful because I want him to be on a team with his friends.
Anyway, enough of the rant. Tucker had a great season and got on a great team with a great coach, they were the diamondbacks and he had so much fun. He always has fun, and is luckily a pretty easy going and flexible and social kid and we had a good time with new teammates. He played for the Spokane Indians league, so his season opener was at the Indians Stadium and was so much fun. I didn't go, I think because I wasn't feeling well and I was sad I missed it. But Ben took him and said they had a good time.
My cute baseball player:
It's still coach pitch, but Tucker was playing in the pitchers position:
And up to bat. I think he'll be a good little player, he has a good arm! Just needs to hone his skills a bit! :)

Me and Taylor had just as much fun with our friends as Tucker did playing with his friends. I found out that one of my friends I used to work with at CHAS had a son on Tucker's team. Her name is Julie and I just loved her. We worked together only for the four months that I went back to CHAS after I had Tucker, so she totally remembered him from when he was a newborn. Then right after I left CHAS, I guess her and her husband got pregnant and had a little boy, Isaac! So fun, so, the boys played, the husbands watched the games intently and me and Julie and Dana, another cute mom from the team watched these cute girls. We ended up all kind of taking turns bringing activities, coloring, bubbles, snacks, etc... to keep these cute girls entertained: Taylor, Abby and Kenzie.

Playing with bubbles:

We rotated between two fields, and the games were on Tuesday and Thursday nights, so it was nice to have our weekends free, but it meant no practice, just game after game after game. Every now and then we'd have a Wednesday or Monday night practice, but it wasn't every week. But I kind of liked it, I mean, they learn so much in games.

My favorite boy, #9:
Uncle Scott and Aunt Kathy were in town one night and came to a game, it made him so happy! :) And, of course, Papa and Kathryn came to some games, too! :)
