Thanksgiving 2010 was one for the books. I don't know what it is about us and Thanksgivings, but it seems our family has some pretty untraditional ones. We've spent the past few years with friends. This year, since my dad was out of town, and my mom lives in a different town we were just going to have a low key dinner at home with the four of us. My mom then told us that she would be here on Saturday for the week, and then Allen & Kelli would be able to come for a few days, but not until Sunday morning. So we decided to change our plans and do Thanksgiving on Sunday evening. That meant on Thursday, when everyone else was enjoying their huge turkey dinners, we were just enjoying a nice relaxing day. We watched the Thanksgiving day parade and took naps and it was actually an awesome day! I took some family pictures of some friends in the afternoon and that was about it.
Oh, and we went to Denny's for dinner...
Kelli & the kids ended up coming on Thanksgiving day in the evening. So, they came with us! :) I definitely DON'T think we will make it a tradition. It kind of sounded fun at the time, like totally random. But afterward, I remembered why I hadn't been to Denney's since high-school. yuck! :)
My mom came on Saturday and we took the kids to see Santa. Taylor wasn't a big fan of the man in red. Here she is before, as happy as a clam...
So anyway, Sunday came and we all just had a great time! The food was PERFECT! We had a great spread, we relaxed and chatted and just enjoyed ourselves.
She is such a daddy's girl, it is so cute! The feeling is mutual, her daddy loves her and she loves her daddy...
Cassidy's bug cake was the only thing that didn't turn out. She wasn't really sure what to do with it at first. But quickly got the hang of it.
Luckily she has some cousins to help her out... :)
She really wanted to feed some to Taylor. I thought she would love it...
But from the looks of it, not so much!
Presents bigger than she is...
The girls are already ganging up on poor Carter. He just wanted to play with little people prince & princess carriage. :)
They had to discuss...
And tell some jokes...
Luckily, Carter found something he likes even more. Actually, he LOVES. I've never seen a kid more obsessed with a tv show as Carter is with Yo Gabba Gabba! :) It is hilarious! :) He just dances and dances and dances away!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We have SO much to be thankful for!

Yeah, Denny's certainly isn't a tradition in the making. But, it gets a good laugh when I tell people that where's we spent Thanksgiving! Too bad you got sick! It was a fun week being there!
